New Ethiopian Ambassador Presents Credentials to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Teshome Toga presented his credentials to the Grand Duke of Luxembourg Henri Albert Gabriel. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, 21 May 2014, at the Royal Palace in the capital city of Luxembourg.

In the conversation that followed the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Teshome highlighted Ethiopia’s sustainable economic growth and briefed the Grand Duke on the current situation in region. He assured the Grand Duke, of Ethiopia’s readiness to strengthen relations with Luxembourg.

Grand Duke Henri in his turn expressed happiness at Ethiopia’s continued economic growth and the stable political situation in the country and appreciated the role it is playing to bring peace in the region. The Grand Duke Henri and Ambassador Teshome also discussed on a number of bilateral and regional issues and promised to continue working together on enhancing relations in the promotion of trade, tourism and investment between the two countries.

During his stay in Luxembourg, Ambassador Teshome held discussions with higher officials of the European Investment bank, and received assurances of the banks readiness to continue its support for public sector infrastructure projects in Ethiopia that are vital to underpin private sector development and create a thriving business environment.
Ambassador Teshome Toga is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Kingdom of Belgium, with accreditation to the Kingdom of Netherlands and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
